Setup GID and UID for Microsoft Identity management for Unix

As part of requirements for a software running on CentOS 7 utilizing NFS partation on EMC isilon OneFS as storage, I have to setup RFC2307 correctly on all our Active Directory Domain Controllers. NFS mount also will be shared through SMB.

So all my DCs are Win2012R2 and I have enabled "Microsoft Identity Management for UNIX" on all of them. One master NIS server and 3 Subordinate NIS servers.

I am a bit confused about setting up GID and UID, these are Windows system-auto-generated IDs or I can pickup any random number or range giving to them? or those ID comes from Linux or OneFS ?

One the UID and GID setup, can I change them later if needed?
